Keep your weight under control: Obese people are prone to many diseases like heart problems, diabetes, high blood pressure, liver problems etc. Over weight not only hampers our daily life but also lowers our self esteem.
Eat healthy: You need to eat a balanced diet to get all the nutrients. You should take five servings of fruits and veggies everyday. Add black berries, apples, oranges, spinach, broccoli, whole grains, sprouts, milk products, eggs and fish in your diet. The more colorful your plate the better it is.
Exercise: Lack of physical activity is a major cause for many problems. 30 minutes of exercise everyday can do wonders to your health. You can also take up any other activity which involves physical movement like- dancing, gardening etc
Quit smoking: One drink a day is recommended by many doctors but smoking is an absolute ‘no no’. It not only harms you but also harms your near and dear ones. It can make you infertile, lead to miscarriages and also ages you fast.
Regular health checkup: It can save you from a lot of problems later in life. You can go for a yearly checkup or more depending on your age. Taking regular breast examination is also a must.
Develop a hobby: It works like a stress buster. It will not only divert your mind from the daily grind but will also save you from having a devils mind. Studies show that the way our bodies need exercise, similarly our mind also needs to be exercised. It will save you from brain deterioration in later age.
Try to invest in some old age plan: The earlier the better and in case you don’t have one, start now.
Try to have lots of friends: Don’t isolate yourself for any reason. By spending time with your friends and family you will find this world a better place to live in and also realize that every human being has there share of problems. You are not the only one.
