Allergy Due To Egg In Children

Allergies are nothing but instant reactions to various substances or matter. These substances may not be harmful but certain reactions might get triggered among people when they come in contact with it. These allergies may occur due to freely suspended particles in the air like dust, pollen or food etc. when the body gets exposed to these substances then it produces antibodies against it. Certain people are allergic to egg. When they consume egg, they trigger allergic reaction.

What are the causes of allergic reaction in kids?
Allergies due to egg are stirred basically by the protein content in the form of egg yolks and whites. It has been observed that some infants when breast fed are allergic to egg proteins that are found in breast milk. These allergies can be found in young age and may outgrow when they grow.

Signs and symptoms-
Detection of any allergy is challenging especially among the kids. This is because most of the food contains eggs as major ingredient, making it difficult for the parents to find the basic cause of reaction. But according to expert certain signs and symptoms can help in detecting whether the child is allergic or not. These symptoms can be seen in minutes or hours after the food has been consumed. Nausea, diarrhea, stomach pain, vomiting and itchiness in skin etc are the associated symptoms.

Diagnosis for allergic reaction due to consumption of egg and egg products-
In order to diagnosis the condition the person or the child has to undergo a skin test and blood test. Doctors mostly advice to eliminate egg and its products from the children’s diet, and observations are recorded. If the symptom vanishes then the allergic symptoms can be presumed. Experts opine that there is actually no medicine to treat this condition. And the only way to curb the condition is by abolition of egg and its products from the diet.
