Anti Wrinkle Injections

When there is loss of vital components in the dermis, wrinkles are formed. Collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid are the building blocks of the dermis and there is no way to topically replace them. But the dermatologists can temporarily restore your skin’s volume by injecting the dermal fillers into your dermis. This minimizes the appearance of your wrinkles, scars, and lines.

If you have tried different anti-wrinkle cream products and have not got the desired result, you can use anti-wrinkle injections. These dermal fillers are gaining popularity day by day and are becoming more affordable, and accessible. Before taking anti-wrinkle injections for your wrinkles, you must first consult your doctor and get the injections done by an experienced professional otherwise you may have to face its side effects. Some of the options of anti-wrinkle injections are discussed below.

Hylaform injection: It is hyaluronic acid filler that has the lowest hyaluronic concentration. As a wrinkle injection it has been found to be very useful for the lips and the cheeks area. When Hylaform is injected, it incorporates into the dermis and binds water, hence immediate result is obtained. Since, Hylaform is derived from animals it has the risk of allergic reactions. It can cause post-treatment bruising and redness. The effect of Hylaform is the least of the hyaluronic injections i.e. about 3 months. It is used widely in Europe.

Juvederm injection: Approved by the FDA in late 2006, it is one of the newest fillers in the market. Also known as the next-generation dermal filler, this injectable gel helps to restore the volume of your skin immediately. Your facial wrinkles and folds also become smooth. This injection is most suitable for the deeper folds of your face. Effect of the juvederm injection can last from 6 months up to a year. Its side effects are redness and bruising.

Restylane injection: It is one of the best known and most popular hyaluronic acid fillers. Produced from streptococcus bacteria, restylane injection is a non-animal stabilized hyaluronic acid based dermal filler. It has the same process as Hylaform and can last for 6-12 months. Its side effects include redness, injection site pain and bump. It is less suitable for soft areas like lips due to its stiffness.

Cosmoplast and Cosmoderm: Made from bio-engineered human collagen, they are the most expensive fillers in the market. They cause less pain, redness and bruising.
