Are divorcees getting younger?

A modern marriage does not last till death. In fact, the death of these marriages happens within 2-3 yrs of nuptials. The line that is muttered, while exchanging vows, “till death do us part”, is getting discarded by the new age couple. The last thread to make the marriage going working is also dying its natural death. The rates at which divorce are happening all over the world is quite shocking. Couples in their 20 something, are heading for divorces.

Even the city family courts, confirm that, the courts are basically flooded with such cases, with couples heading for separation. These couples marriages, last hardly for a year or two.  With cynicism resting in these amateur marriages, the main reason behind is need of “space” and financial security. Divorce is no longer related issue between the middle aged couple. It’s quite astonishing that couples of age group 22-30 are seeking divorce, with mutual consent. The incompatibility among the couples is increasing at an alarming rate.

Such cases have gone up to 40%. Surprisingly, when these couples come looking for divorce, the reasons given and noted are very trivial. They simply want to put an end to the marriage, by calling it a bad move or bad union. The primary cause is their high profile jobs and stubborn attitude; they are not even bothered or perplexed when their marriage is declared null or void. Such is the situation.

Though advocates often resort with the process of counseling, to patch up and bridge the gap that has arisen in any marriage, but it doesn’t helps in most of the cases. The pre-conceived notions that nothing will work even makes the situation worse. The couples are in fact hell bent to walk free, as they do not want to give their marriage a second chance. Further, the interference of the third party in form of relative or parents of one of the group makes the matter more miserable, making the marriage head towards the splits Ville.

Most of the couples want to walk off with mutual consent. It is the software sector where the majority of cases come. However, everything cannot be blamed on the stressful careers only. Sometimes, it happens the other way round. Getting married at an early age doesn’t give them a clear picture of what is going in their life. The depression is so much is they just want independence, and not even the alimony.
