Baby Teeth Loss in Children
Kids start losing their milk or baby teeth at the age of 6-7. Here their jaw grows and attains more mature size. This development is to accommodate the permanent teeth. In this age the root of the tooth begins to dissolve and hence the teeth loss occurs. With gradual disappearance of the root the tooth comes out and gradually the permanent teeth is pushed upward. Losing milk teeth is usually not of discomfort. But little bleeding and soreness in gums is experienced.
Which tooth in kids comes out first?
It has been observed that usually the tooth that appears first in the kids comes out first. Kids tend to loose their incisors i.e. their lower front two teeth and these get replaced gradually with permanent teeth. The next loss occurs with the upper two teeth and gradually the side surrounding teeth.
If proper oral health is not maintained then the kids may loose his/her teeth earlier, due to cavity and gum problems. With premature tooth fall, empty spaces or void is formed as a result the neighboring teeth starts leaning into the hollow space created. As a result of insufficient space the permanent teeth is not able to grow properly. And finally the tooth that emerges is twisted and cramped.
