Be Perfect on Your Date
Nervous before your date? Crazed with worry wondering what to say or do? Biting your nails at the thought of creating a bad impression? Standing before your wardrobe with no clue what to wear? Well, buckle up! Every problem has a solution and the solution to your problem is here.
Take it easy! Don’t try too hard. Being nervous won’t make your date a success.
Wear light and soothing colors. Go for something casual, or you might try a semi-formal look, depending on what suits you best.
Be punctual. Nothing spoils the mood of your date more than kicking her heels for an hour.
If you are going to a restaurant, then pass the menu card to your date. If it is your call, then consult you date’s choices before ordering the food.
Don’t fidget or play with the cutlery. This is a sign of nervousness and may put your date off.
Don’t drink too much, or at all if your date is ‘non-alcoholic’.
Don’t keep talking about yourself. Try to draw your date out, gives her openings to talk. And show her that you are sincerely interested in what she has to say.
Don’t interrupt her with some triviality like ‘do you like the food?’ or ‘you want some more?’ while she is talking.
On the other hand, don’t sit mum and leave the whole burden of conversation on her. A compromise can be reached between talking too much and not talking at all.
Start a discussion on a topic which you know she is seriously interested in. Offer your views, listen to her’s. But don’t make it a debate or let it grow into a quarrel if your opinions vary.
Ask about her family. Show an interest in the things or persons close to her. But don’t be over-inquisitive.
Don’t force her to tell you anything that she tries to avoid. Respect her privacy. But make her feel that you would welcome any confidence that she chooses to make.
Don’t talk about any bad relationship she might have been in before, unless she brings in the topic. Show her that she has found a confidant in you.
