Beauty Products May Contain Toxic Chemicals

We all come across some new beauty product every time we visit near by beauty store. In fact the beauty market is flooded with variety of products making us spellbound and difficult to choose what exactly we want. All these products sure catch most of the eye of beauty aspirants. Make-up can do wonders and can transform a person from plane Jane to a bomb. We generally tend to make use of such toiletries that have been produced and manufactured with “unique” technology. In fact they have become very common feature of our life.

But here comes the concern cause as most of us are not aware that most of the chemicals that is used in cosmetics and toiletries can cause health problems. They contain certain harmful toxins which in extreme high proportions can harm the skin. In recent times the allergic reactions caused by the cosmetics have become matter to worry. They are caused by allergens. Allergens can lead to allergic contact dermatitis, to some of the users. Some of eth most common type are parabens, formaldehyde, staryl alcohol, benzophenone, cetylalcohol, propylene glycol and menthol ammonia. Formaldehyde is commonly used in nail polishes and sodium lauryl sulphate is used in majority of shampoos that can cause skin irritation.

Hence it’s better to make use of products that are free from any such chemicals. A hair dye free from ammonia can lessen the hair damage. You can even opt for home remedies. Henna can be used as natural dye, hibiscus for shampoo; cream of milk can be used as moisturizer while fuller earth and fruits can be used for face packs.

You can even go for patch test to avoid allergic contact dermatitis or skin irritation. Do this on small area in foot or elbow. Wait for 48-72 hrs and observe for any reaction. Better to avoid such products if you are allergic to them.
