Being friends with ex-lover
Couples often break up with their partners on mutual settlement. Breaking up require a certain degree of detachment. Being friends with your ex will eventually prove futile. Once you break up with your partner, you break all ties with him/her.
Being friends will not only keep the strings attached but also remove all possibilities of moving on. We tell you why.
Your Ex lover still loves you: Even if you have broken up on mutual consent, there are certain forces aligning around you. One partner always aims at getting the other one back in his/her life. The so-called friendship is just a way to get back to the previous relationship. You will feel like moving on or probably will; but your ex partner who still wants you back in life will be too jealous about it. He/she will eventually end up being hurt, yet again.
When you still like your ex: You might still have feelings for your partner. So, being friends with your ex will only complicate situations. You will tell yourself to move on everyday but things will get tougher once your ex partner moves on. You might just see him/her date someone else. And you’ll have to be friends with your partner, no matter what because you wouldn’t wish to lose that special friend. Will that be a pleasant thing?
You sleep with your ex partner: Things worsen when you start sleeping with your ex. This is something one is likely to do. Sleeping with your ex is always easy and comfortable. You might start off with fond memories and it wouldn’t take time to cuddle each other and roll in the bed. This will invariably hurt the one who’s still in love. He/she will end up feeling used, because the other one will soon move on.
So if you wish to keep that relation alive with your ex, friendship is possibly the wrong way to do that! Being friends with your ex isn’t much of a good idea. This will eventually worsen the relationship leaving one of you utterly hurt. We hope, our tips will help you take the right decision.
