Beware of bikini wax mishaps
Are you aware of what a bad bikini wax can do? Not many women are but bikini waxes are getting to be increasing popular with time. The clean and fresh feeling that women experience with a bare pubic mound can be really refreshing! But the process needs to be done by an expert and it has to be done well.
As a result, if you are planning to get a biking wax for the first time, here are a few things you should be aware of-
Choose an experienced practitioner
The process is painful as if you are menstruating or pregnant; this is not the process for you. Please remember that you have to make sure that the person who is going to be doing the procedure is experienced in doing it. The entire process should take about half an hour but experienced people can complete it in about fifteen minutes with half the pain. Make sure that the facility that you have chosen is licensed by the authorities and the practioners have years of experience in doing this form of waxing
Ask for hard wax
This is better than soft wax as hard wax does not stick to the skin and its less likely to strip off a layer of the skin after waxing. A few salons will also make their own solutions of sugar, water, lemon juice and glycerin that work just as well in removing hair without damaging skin.
Make sure that the place is clean
The practioner should wear gloves and trim pubic hair before they start the process. They should also be able to give you an accurate assessment of the time required for the process. If you are uncomfortable being completely nude then you can wear a thong and the operator can ask you to expose those areas that require to be waxed. On the whole the practitioner should be clean and careful while waxing.
Care for your skin
Just as soon as the process is complete, the operator should soothe your skin with witch hazel ointment or lotions. You can also take a painkiller before the process and then apply an over the counter antibiotic cream and an anti inflammatory 1% hydrocortisone cream to the area to reduce any potential infections and problems.
Check the area regularly and do get in touch with a doctor in case the area looks red and swollen and if you develop an itching and burning sensation.
