Brain Tumor Headaches

Getting occasional headaches is a common problem but when an individual starts getting frequent and persistent headaches, it starts worrying him. The mere thought of having brain tumor sends shiver down his spine and he rushes to the doctor. The pain caused by brain tumor headaches is mild in the morning and its severity increases as the day progresses. You will feel the throbbing pain all over your head. This pain can even occur when you are fast asleep. Brain tumor headaches fade away on its own when you lie down and take rest. These headaches do not get cured by taking painkillers. Your pain gets increased when you try to do some physical activities, change your position, sneeze or cough. Brain tumor headaches are often accompanied with nausea or vomiting.

Medical researches state that headaches caused by brain tumor are not constant and do not last for several hours. But in the advanced stage of brain tumor the frequency of these headaches increase significantly. The more advanced stage will give you more frequent and severe headaches which will last for a longer duration of time. In children, headaches caused by brain tumors may also be accompanied with sensation of buzzing sounds in their ear or hearing problem symptoms.
