Breast Milk

The most natural food for any infant is definitely breast milk. The infant derives all the nutrition from this natural milk. It is suggested that in the first three months this milk has to be given. This human milk has all the fatty acids, water, amino acids, lactose in the appropriate amount.
It is important to promote digestion and enhance brain development and boost growth. The composition is such that it has all the vital nutrients needed for the baby. The mother’s health is also linked with it. Hence care should be taken of mother’s health too.
Importance of breast feeding
Researches show that breast milk is perfect to provide nourishment to the infants and the new born, they also guard from illness. A baby that is thoroughly breast fed is believed to have fewer ailments as all the antibodies from the mother gets transferred through it. Almost 80% of milk is macrophages. These cells are capable enough in killing bacteria, fungi and other forms of viruses. Babies that are breast fed are protected from various illnesses like pneumonia, influenza, infections of the ear, botulism, bronchitis, measles, diarrhea, allergies etc.
It is considered best form of food for the baby. It is natural and totally safe. It has the agent or antibodies which protect the new born from bacteria and other deadly viruses. They also fight infections and other ailments. The chance of un-sterility is not there as it is consumed directly from the breast.
Among mothers it is best as it saves both time and money. The mother doesn’t have to purchase other milk formula and no hassles of cleaning and sterilizing bottles. The natural bond is connected between the mother and the baby. This natural physical contact ensures security in kids, they sleep well, feel warm and comforted. It is also best as it helps to shed extra pounds that come along with pregnancy. The uterus also gets back to it normal size in quicker manner and the problems of bleeding gets lessened. The chances of ovarian cancer and breast cancer are lowered due to breast feeding.
