Breast reconstruction is a surgery that reconstructs the breast of the same size and shape as it was before. It is very helpful for women who have gone through mastectomy. Follow the instruction of your doctor carefully. Although you will be up and about in six to eight week but it may take one to two years for the tissues to heal completely. Not all surgeries are totally successful and you may not be satisfied with the outcome.
Another thing which you need to know is that the shape and size may be restored but the normal breast sensation may not be restored.
