Causes of blisters on skin

Blisters are elevated eruptions on the skin and contain body fluid. Blisters are of many kinds. Some are itchy, some are [gainful, some aren’t painful but very discomforting. There are varied reasons for blister formation. We have pointed few of the significant reasons of blisters on the skin. Read on to know more about it.

Blisters on the feet due to new or discomforting shoes: Misfit shoes cause blisters on the toes. This is because, if the shoes are very tight, it causes a perpetual rubbing of the skin and the shoe. This causes the skin to trigger the formation of blisters. The body fluid raises the skin in form of a blister due to constant friction of the shoe and the skin. The skin is unable to breathe and this causes the discomfort resulting in itchy and painful blisters. So make sure to buy well-fitted shoes.

Perspiration: Blisters triggering from perspiration are also known as sweat blisters. These are usually formed during the summers due to excessive sweating under the feet. The sweating of the feet causes the skin to raise forming blisters. Athletes often suffer from these blisters in summers.

Excessive running or walking: Running involves a lot of energy loss and in turn, a lot of sweating. The feet sweat and trigger the formation of blisters. The feet are unable to breathe and cause the skin to graduate blisters. Excessive running also provide a lot of pressure on the feet causing blisters.

Allergy: Polyester socks, biting of insects, food and hot weather also contribute to the formation of blisters.

Doing away from foot blisters: Blisters occur when the skin heats up. So, applying ice or cold water helps to do away with it. Also, during summers, one can apply talcum powder to avoid sweaty feet. Open feet shoes are also good options.

Hope these tips will help you do away with blisters. Let your skin breathe and stay cool. If you know the causes, it will invariably be easier to prevent blisters to graduate.
