There are numerous kinds of oils available in the market that you can use for your face or body. With the numerous choices available it might become difficult for you to zero on particular kind of product.
Some of the most popular kind of oil used for massaging is oil of almond, olive, rosehip, wheat germ, grape seed, evening primrose, avocado etc. Each of this oil is known for its own goodness and properties. While one can enjoy the benefits of this oil they can be contradictory too on some skin.
While using these oils one should not confuse with the base oils and the essential oils used for aromatherapy. Essential oils are extracted from plants, they are distilled to purify but they have the plant essence in them. In aromatherapy the combination of these oils are used while massaging. Almond oil- this is one of the widely used massage oils. It consistency is medium, but if the person has any nut allergies then he/she should stay away from it.
Grape seed oil- it serves as better alternative to almond oil. It is very light in consistency and does not react with the skin. It is even safe for massaging the babies.
Olive oil- it feeds the skin literally as it is nutritious for the skin, though it is very thick in nature and very sticky. Even it is safe to use as it doesn’t cause any reactions. The best thing is that it is cheap and available in all the kitchens.
Avocado- the dry or mature skin can gain benefits from avocado oil. It is very rich in nature, but people with acne and other skin conditions should not use it.
Wheat germ oil- it is rich with vitamin E and best to repair the sun damages skin. With frequent use the damages skin can be repaired.
Rosehip oil- this oil is also suggested for damages skin, scarred skin, though it comes with a price.
Evening primrose- this oil is best suited for menopausal women. But pregnant women and females trying for pregnancy should stay away from it. This is due to its high hormonal content which can effect negatively.
