Chronic headache is pain in your head or upper neck which occurs frequently. There are various causes of chronic pain which are mentioned below.Stress is one of the major causes of chronic headaches. Stress causes constriction of blood vessels which obstructs blood supply to your brain.

People who get addicted to pain killers or other medicines to cure headaches usually become victim of chronic headache. So do not take headache medicines frequently without consulting your doctor. If headache continues do not treat yourself; consult a doctor.

People who suffer from nasal congestion (due to sinus or hay fever) also suffer from chronic headache. This happens because you are unable to breathe properly.

Coffee may relieve you from headaches if you drink one or two cups of coffee in a day but if you consume it in excess quantity it may cause you chronic headache. Excess consumption of coffee also leads to miscarriage. Hence limit your coffee intake.
