Cocktail Yoga-1
All of us are acquainted with the benefits of yoga. It brings the serenity to the mind, body and soul. The energy levels get perked to the highest limits. The five major energies which have to be awakened within the body are- physical, mental, sexual, creative and the spiritual. Practicing yoga for 45-60 minutes everyday will undeniably make the difference. Here are some body postures that will help in attainment of sound body and controlled mind.
Warm up- any exercising regime must begin with a warm up. March on the spot for 8-10 min. the metabolism is increased if inhaled through the nose and exhaled from the mouth.
Lift knee and touch the opposite elbow- the legs and the shoulder width should be kept apart. Clench the fists and bring them to the shoulder. The palms should face the front and the hands should be bent and the elbows. Exhale raising the knee and try to touch the elbow to the knee. Breathe through the nose this has to be done in sets of 25 and as top be alternated with both the knees. This is best for the trimming up of the waist, back, thighs and the abdomen area. The stiffness of the shoulders and the spine and the hips is relived.
The side stretch- this is a variation of the Ardhachandrasana. In this one has to stand tall and keep the legs apart. The legs should be straight and the hands should rest near the body. Keep the body loose and relax. Now gently tighten the buttocks and try to push the hip forward. And raise the arms over the head, the fingers should be interlaced. As you are exhaling try to lean towards the left side. And while returning back to the normal position inhale. In the similar manner repeat the exercise towards the right side. This can be done 10 times each side. This exercise makes the spinal muscles supple, it is good as it massages the large intestine, and it not only reduces the unwanted fat of the waist but also alleviates problems related with constipation.
