Consuming water will not make you slim
If all these years you were thinking and consuming water, believing that it would help you down in slimming, well its time to rethink, as the new theory contradicts this belief. Most of the people all over the world believe this that, water works amazingly in cutting down the flab, which is however not true, claims the new study. According to them, drinking water is nothing than mere wastage of time.
The study was conducted at the University of Tokyo, and it was found out that drinking water which the main elixir of life is of no help when it comes to keep one trim. Instead of consuming large quantities of water, one should consume foods that are rich in water. Food in form of fruits, vegetables, soups, casseroles, rice etc that have huge quantities of water that, are helpful in cutting down the fat.
The findings further stated that, it is still not clear why water in food form instead of drinks affects the weight. One of the reasons could be that water rich foods are also abundant with fiber. The findings are based on the study that was conducted on 1000 young woman of Tokyo. It was studied and analysis was done, on the basis of recordings of these women. Their waist and weight were compared with the amount of water that these subjects consumed each day. It was done from both, in the food form as well as drinks. The study finally revealed that, there was no link in between the body shape and drinks like, tea, coffee, cool beverages, soft drinks, juices etc and also with water.
The Daily Mail reported the study. But the study was successful in determining the link between the water in take that happens from food, especially among the women who consumed food containing high quantities of water. These women were found to have slightly small waist size. These women also had lower body mass index.
The link even firmed other factors as the time devoted in exercising or whether the woman was on diet. The findings found a place in the Nutrition Journal.
