Couples Sleeping In Separate Bedrooms
Few years back sleeping in separate rooms was a sign that the marriage was heading towards divorce or facing some serious problems. It used to be a hot topic of gossip among the neighbors but things are not the same anymore. Today couples want to guard their individuality and are okay with sleeping in separate bed rooms. Infact, builders are seeing a lot of demand for two master bed rooms or bath rooms in the same house.
According to researches, it has been seen that lack of sleep can make you very irritable and lead to ill health. Most couples are working odd hours or are in a high pressure job. Their working hours are different, some are owls and like to work late at night but others are larks and are early risers. It has also been seen that some like to watch TV late at night or surf the internet or even read a book late into the night. Sleeping in a separate bedroom helps the partner have a good nights sleep and not face problems because of the other.
It has been seen that the arrival of the baby also makes the husband sleep in another room as the baby needs his night feeds which can disturb the man who has to go to the office the next day.
The most common reason for room separation is snoring. Such couples also keep a together place where they do their cuddling before going their separate ways. They are completely normal about it and don’t feel their marriage is threatened in any manner. This trend is solely driven by the need for a better sleep and understanding that each individual has a different body clock and bio rhythms.
Sleeping in separate bedrooms in a mature marriage does not make much difference in the couple’s intimacy but sleeping in separate bedrooms while still young in marriage can sometimes create intimate issues. It depends upon the maturity level of the couple.
