Diagnosing Liver Problems
Once, our liver very sorrowfully said, “We are not looked after. We are underestimated, unsung heroes.” And that’s true. We seldom think of our liver unless we face some problem with it. But liver is one of the most important organs of the body. It helps the body synthesize protein and detoxify the body.
It decomposes the red blood cells and forms an important part of the whole human physiological system. And if liver disease is left undiagnosed and untreated, it can lead to serious implications including coma and death subsequently. But, it can be cured if treated at the proper time.
Firstly, you should do some research on your whole family history as well as your own medical history. Sometimes diseases run generations after generations as a hereditary disorder. Even if you don’t have liver disease now, you can know if you run the risk of developing it later.
Next, if you find some symptoms such as tenderness, pain and discomfort in the abdomen region along with skin problems and many other symptoms which may at first seem unrelated to anything about liver. Just see a doctor immediately.
Thirdly, an urinalysis test will tell you what toxins you are releasing from the body and that will help the physician to figure if you have any liver problem or not.
Fourthly, go for a blood test. One important signet stating liver disease or any sort of liver-related problem is if you have large amount of enzymes in your blood. This mainly happens if you have a faulty liver and it is leaking the enzymes, a signs of damaged liver.
Finally, if none of these urine or blood test helps to reckon what you are suffering from and you still don’t feel right, you can ask for liver panel from your doctor. It will deduce the basic measurements of your liver and check for any liver dysfunction.
Remember, if you have a faulty liver, it will not only damage your digestive system but also affect your overall health and may lead to other grave physical disorders. Don’t ignore it and when you feel something is wrong, don’t wait. Just contact a doctor immediately. He will guide you to betterment in the best possible way.
