Eye Wrinkles
Age takes toll on the skin. The creased eyebrows and eye wrinkles spoil the beauty of the eyes as well as the face. The problems of wrinkles in the eye area arise from the middle layer of the skin. The dermis gets contracted and the outer subcutaneous layer also gets loosened. Most of us think that it is the innermost layer or the epidermis that triggers the wrinkles in the eye.
This dermis has elastin and collagen. These two are important elements that help in keeping the skin healthy and young. They also retain the moisture and suppleness. With time this dermis layer becomes thin and gradually the capacity to retain moisture is lost. The subcutaneous layer also looses fat and the young and fresh look from the eyes disappears.
Factors that cause eye wrinkles:-
Excessive smoking, hereditary factors, lifestyle, stress, sun exposure, occupation all can lead to wrinkles. In today’s context due to change in lifestyle, one cannot say that with age the wrinkles happen. It has been seen that people in their 20’s and 30’s are also prone to this untimely wrinkles. The oil that gets secreted (sebum) also varies among individuals.
Preventive ways:-
The skin if exposed to sun excessively can wilt. It’s not god to fantasize about sun tan. You will be doing more harm to your skin. A sun block that is being used should be very good. They protect and safeguard the eyes and the face from the harmful UV rays. If you are in the sun for longer duration of time then apply whenever the moisture is lost from the skin.
Head gears like hats; scarf’s and eye protection like sun glasses should be worn. The glasses should have UV lenses, so as to safeguard the eyes. Polaroid lenses are the best. Smoking if done excessively can sag the skin. They also sap off the beauty, sheen and luster from the eyes. Putting excess strain to the eyes by sitting on computer for longer duration can also harm eyes.
Tanning the skin artificially in a booth can also be harmful, even though the eye protectors are worn. It is always recommended to replenish the body with water. The face should be always kept moisturized and proper stokes and technique should be applied while applying it.
These wrinkles of the eyes are also known as crow’s feet. Wrinkles are more than aging process. If you love to maintain and price your looks then take necessary care of the eye.
