Treatment for female infertility is given in the form of medications or surgery. The type of treatment in many cases is chosen by keeping the cause in mind. Female with infertility problems are usually treated with medicines, which balance their hormone levels or induce ovulation. These drugs act as natural hormones and trigger ovulation. In some cases, injections are also applied so that ovulation can be induced.
Most of the cases that can not be cured with medications can be successfully cured with surgery. Such surgical procedures are called fertility restoration surgery. Tissue removal, tubal reversal surgery (microscopic), tubal surgeries etc are some kinds of surgeries involved in female infertility treatments.
Women who suffer from fallopian tube disorders such as blockage of fallopian tube or fallopian tube filled with fluid (known as hydrosalpinx) have to go through tubal surgeries. It can remarkably increase your chances of conceiving. If the blocked part of the fallopian tube is closer to your ovary rather than to the uterus then chances of tubal surgery to become successful increases manifold.
IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) is another effective treatment for female infertility. It gives better result in case of fallopian tube blockage and polycystic ovarian syndrome. In some cases, ICSI treatment is also very effective and makes you capable of getting pregnant. In this process, part of sperm is directly injected into the egg and then again embryo is placed into the womb. Where IVF fails, ISCI can work.
Women who face infertility problem due to endometriosis can be treated through laparoscopic surgery. In some cases, acupuncture is also effective in treating female infertility, which is caused due to ovarian disorders.
