First date mistakes you should avoid

It’s not easy meeting new people. Believe me, we know but unless you go about and meet men and women, how on earth are you going to find the ideal mate for yourself? As a result, it becomes essential to make a good impression on the other person whom you have come to meet on a date.

Here a few first date boo-boos that you should avoid so that you can make a great first impression your date.

Be on time
When you respect your date enough, you will be on time. It shows a commitment towards the other person and respect that they have agreed to come and meet you. Even if you are late please make sure that you explain accurately the reason for the delay. Make sure that you call the restaurant that your date is waiting at so that they know that you are late and when you will be there.

Choose clothes you are comfortable in
Do not choose hot and sexy clothes that you have never worn before in your life. If you are not used to them it will show and that’s not what you want. Try to make sure that you are comfortable and confident in the outfit you have chosen for yourself on your first date

Be cheerful but avoid politics
There are always bound to be topics that you disagree on. But for the first date stay away from politics, religion and any other recent controversial topic that you have read about. Be general and friendly and you should be ok for your first date.

Don’t take your friends along with you on a date
It’s natural to feel scared when meeting up with strangers especially when you are on a blind date. As a precaution, we would advise you to introduce a friend to the blind date to protect yourself but ask them to unobtrusively make their excuses and leave after that.  Make sure that you let your date know that this was just a friend who was dropping you off after work and then continue your date. Do not allow your friend to stay with your during the date or at a side table for the whole of the date. Its annoying for the opposing person and it indicates that you are immature and insecure.
