Five easy life style changes for better skin
It is really overwhelming to see the many skin products available in the stores for better skin. And to go by the advertisements, they are all great albeit a little expensive. But apart from all these, there are some very simple lifestyle changes which can help you get that very desirable skin, minus the cosmetics.
The simplest lifestyle change you can start with for better skin is to drink plenty of water. The skin flushes out the dead cells and taking in a lot of fluids help your system flush the toxins out so there is no stagnation which eventually shows up on your skin.
Also, a well hydrated system in the body makes it easier for the important nutrients to travel through the blood stream for healthy plump cells. This helps in your skin becoming more elastic and when done correctly over a long period of time even decreases blemishes. The aim should be at least 64 ounces of water in a day. This is not true of all liquids as tea, coffee and soft drinks dehydrate the body instead of re-hydrating it and hence should be avoided.
Another way to better skin would be to stock your body up on healthy Omega-3 oils. This is usually found in deep water fish, salmon and for the non fish eaters – in walnuts and flax seeds. This helps improve the cell membranes and make them healthy. It is the cell membrane which pushes the waste out and allows for the nutrients to come in. And also the cell membrane is responsible for holding in the moisture to make your skin look youthful. The Omega-3 oil can also be taken in form of supplement tablets.
Another great way to not only better skin but also to a healthy long life is to keep moving. Regular exercise of any form keeps the blood circulation flowing and helps the body function more efficiently. Exercise could be pumping iron or yoga- in any form; it goes a long way in improving the body’s ability to produce collagen which keeps the dreaded wrinkles and lines away.
Last but not the least is to be gentle to your skin, by not using harsh astringents and refrain from rubbing the skin too vigorously. And always remember to slap the sunscreen on when on the outside.
Its not easy but with a little care you can make sure that you are as healthy as possible with well flushed skin!
