5 Foods That Flatten Your Stomach
Alcohol
It’s a fact that certain amounts of alcohol (around 4 ounces) can help you control weight. We know that alcohol does not raise insulin levels, it is not stored as fat and, thus, will not itself make us fat. However, it can stop weight loss If the calories provided by alcohol are used preferentially.
Good Fats
By good fat, I mean non-saturated fat (both polyunsaturated and monounsaturated). This type of fat or oil has numerous health benefits. Unsaturated fat is usually liquid at room temperature and generally comes from vegetable sources. Here are some basic guidelines for how to choose the best type of fat.
For cooking, choose extra virgin olive oil.
For salads; choose from flax oil, canola oil, soy oil, extra virgin olive oil, wheat germ oil, walnut oil, hemp seed oil.
Eat regular helpings of oily fish like salmon, mackerel, sardines, and tuna.
Meat
Meat contains dense amount of proteins. Protein helps to keep you feeling full and boost your energy — aiding in your weight-loss efforts. According to research, eating additional protein is especially helpful for those over 40 in reducing abdominal fat.

Orange Color Foods
Since fruits and vegetables are high in fiber, they keep you feeling full longer. Moreover, high levels of antioxidants like vitamin C and beta-carotene in these foods help to fight off the belly fat. Good sources of beta-carotene are: carrots, cantaloupe, squash and peaches. You can get your vitamin C from oranges and berries.
Nuts
A small handful of nuts everyday are really good for belly fat reduction. Nuts contain the essential fatty acids, linolenic acids, which are vital for growth, healthy skin and hair, blood pressure control, immune response and blood clotting. In addition, the fats in nuts mostly contain unsaturated fats, especially monounsaturated fat, which as discussed before is very good for weight reduction.
