Agreed that there are some really good and effective quick fixes for most of them but it is also important to understand that there is nothing such as an overnight fix for any of the skin problems that one may have. However, luckily there are some simple remedies which can also be called as partial fixes and can do the work for a short time- say for that important party or get together on the calendar.
The simplest of these fixes would be to keep the face clean all the time. This can be done by regularly washing the face and additionally apply ice cubes over the acne infected area. This helps in suppressing the redness which accompanies the acne area.
Very mild acne can be fixed easily by using a face wash which contains salicylic acid and benzyl peroxide. After the wash, applying a light foundation to cover up the infected area if will help to conceal the blemish. You can also apply medicated foundation to heal the infected area faster
There are some other simple home remedies as well- like applying toothpaste overnight over severe acne which reduces the redness of the spots. Also tea bags – after being dipped in lemon juice can help reduce swelling. These are mainly very quick fixes for acne and can be used for a short term effect while heading out.
Some other skin problems could be break outs on your back and shoulders which prevents you from wearing any backless or off shoulder dresses. Even in this case, benzyl peroxide and salicylic acid works. To prevent these breakouts, talcum powder can be lightly dusted on these areas to absorb the perspiration. You can also look for oil free products while on the lookout for soaps and cosmetics, so they don’t clog the skin pores.
For dry skin, moisturizing the skin while it is still damp is an effective way of sealing the moisture in. Use Omega-3 oil or pure almond oil mixed with warm water to massage into face and neck. Wipe gently with a damp washcloth. Then seal in the moisture while it is still damp.
Hope these few tips help you to keep your skin as clean as possible over time. Please make sure that you get in touch with a good physician in case of problems too.
