Gel Nails or Fiberglass Nails

To make the nails look more natural gel nails are definitely the stand out kind of artificial nails. They are the best to enhance the beauty. Gels make the nails flexible, non-porous and strong in natural way. They not only beautify the nails but also give them support in the form of strength and durability.

Various type of gel nails:-
The most common kind is prepared with pre-mixed ones. They are the “light-cured” ones, a mixture of monomer and polymer. This light cured gel is put over the nail surface and cured that is dried. The UV light gently bakes the gel and hardens it.

Another version is the “no-light” gel nails. These doesn’t require any light for drying instead they have to be dipped in water to set.

Application of gel nails:-
Gel nails are easy on application but needs assistance. For better results get it done with a manicurist.

Simple steps for application:-

Buff the nail surface with a buffer. With an emery board shape the edge of nail to the desired size. A little drop of adhesive will be enough. See that the edge of the natural nail is stuck to the gel nail. Secure and press till it gets secured fully. A single coat of adhesive or bonding agent can be put on natural nail. Finally application of cuticle oil is suggested.

Advantages of gel nails:-
Gel nails don’t harm the natural nails. They provide support to the natural nails and strengthen them. They dry easily and are easy for application. They are odorless, look natural, light weight and durable. They resist lifts and jerks, thin and highly flexible, they are transparent and crystal clear and trendy.

Disadvantages of gel nails:-
People who have allergies with gels then they may experience pain, burning sensation and redness in the cuticles.
