Gout Diet

Gout formation takes place when uric acid develops in the joints. This condition is nothing but elevated uric acid level of blood. It is also known as hyperuricemia. In this the liver produces more amount of uric acid, than the excreting capacity of the body. The main reasons behind this condition are due to rich food like red wine, red meat and creams.

This condition can be brought under control by keeping an eye on the food habits. Consume the right kind of food stuff’s and avoid the others. Excess consumption of meat, seafood and protein can cause the condition.

Tips for gout diet:-

People before joining a weight loss program must consult the physician. Crash diets, fasting can increase the uric levels, this can lead to gout.

Consumption of tea or coffee should be light, but stay away from alcohol. Food with yeast, sardines, herring and sweet beard should not be taken. Food rich in fiber like whole grains and fresh vegetables and fruits should be taken.

Soy, poultry have low protein. Lean meats also can be consumed. Low Fat diet should be followed. Berries like strawberries, cherries and blueberries can be taken. Bananas, celery, green leafy vegetables, tomatoes, kale, parsley are good.

Bromeliad foods are best. Vitamin C food like oranges, lemon, red cabbage, bell peppers are also recommended. Water consumed should be pure. Dairy products with low fat content can be taken.

Plenty of juices can be consumed. Fatty acids in the form of tuna, nuts, flaxseeds and salmon are suggested. Tofu is also good for health.

Apart from this, mushrooms, peas, duck, turkey, ham, cereals, Spinach, asparagus, whole grain breads, and lima bean can also be taken in moderation.

One can stay away from gout through proper diet. Always seek the dietician or nutritionists help for programming your diet program.
