It is very difficult to have gorgeous and healthy hair at the same time but since your hair style will make up or break up your personality, taking extra care for your long hair will be much worth it. So, if you want to impress someone with your long and shiny hair, trying some of the given below tips on hair care for long hair can help you in lot many ways.
First of all, wash your hair only once or twice a week because frequent wash can dry out your hair. But if there is a need for frequent wash then opt for washing your hair with plain water or with a mild shampoo. Brushing your hair is recommended to keep the hairs healthy. The hair oils are spread out across the length of your hair while brushing. Use of long strokes starting from roots of your hair to the tip is advisable. Always stroke your hairs with your hand after you are done brushing. This will help in removing the static.
Massaging your hair for five minutes everyday helps your hair look shiny, healthy and long. It stimulates the cells in your scalps pumping enough blood into the scalp. You can just do it dry or use an oil. Avoid detangling your hair with a comb. Rather you can use your finger tips to detangle them from your hair tips to the roots. Avoid drying your hair by rubbing abruptly with a towel, instead pat it dry by blotting the water.
You can use a satin or silk pillowcase so that your hair will slide and will not get caught off as in using a cotton pillowcase to prevent breakage. Also, do not let loose your hair while sleeping which will tangle your hair. You should trim your hair once every 3 months because it will avoid split ends. Split ends are responsible for immature hair breakage.
