Homemade Body Scrubs

Going to a spa on regular basis is not possible but by using a body scrub you can turn your morning shower into a rejuvenating spa experience. Though market is full of body scrubs nevertheless it is always good to use some home made scrubs. To make a body scrub all you need to do is pair a naturally abrasive ingredient with a soothing and moistening base. Here are some simple and easy to make recipes. You will find almost every ingredient in your kitchen.

To start with, take two cups of thoroughly mashed fruits. Any fruit of your choice will do. Add a table spoon of sugar. You can also add some honey. Apply it on your body and use circular movements to buff away dead skin. Rinse your body with Luke warm water.

Another natural scrubs is a sugar body scrub. For this, take two cups of sugar. You can also use brown sugar if you like. Cover it until saturated with apricot or light olive oil. Don’t use cooking oil as it is very sticky. Moreover, add few drops of vanilla extract. Use it before having your shower. You can keep it in your bathroom as it won’t get spoilt.

Rice and tomato scrub is also very effective. This scrub is good for oily skin. Soak some rice for 30 minutes and then grind coarsely. Take 3 ripe tomatoes, puree them and mix them with rice paste. Apply it on your body and keep it on for 30min before having a shower.

Try Oats body scrub. Take a cup of oats in thick powder form. Add curd or butter milk and mix well. It should be of thick consistency. Put it in a container and refrigerate it for two hours before use. This scrub is good to tighten the skin.

Best part of home made scrubs is they are versatile and cheap. And there is nothing artificial in it. Using these scrubs will make your skin nourished and get a healthy glow
