How can skinny people gain weight?
We sometimes hit across some people, who tell that they wish they could be fat or a bit rounder. And we tell them how lucky they are that they do not put on weight, and do not have to work out to shed those extra kilos. But the fact is that, it is actually more difficult for skinny people to put on weight than those rounder people to loose weight.
There are some exercises for people who want to put on weight. Such skinny people have to concentrate more on weight training sessions, they should lessen their cardio session too. Experts say that, these people have to wait for 3 months to actually see the results. So it’s important, not too loose hope and remains motivated. The approach is simple. The body should be worked out like a machine.
Just like a machine requires good fuel to keep it running and maintaining, similarly good food in form of fuel and workout is mandatory. A good nutritious diet definitely helps in gaining weight, but exercising along with this cannot be overlooked. Weight gain is basically of two types. The first type is for skinny people and the second kind is for muscle building. Among the former kind the people have to work more on muscle groups and must reduce their cardio. The importance of cardio is very much as it helps in balancing the endocrine glands that are responsible for release of main hormones.
These groups of people must exercise the opposing muscle group as, biceps-triceps, chest-shoulder, abs-back etc. It has been seen that, people who do weight exercise only for chest ignoring the shoulders. It results in droopy shoulders and beefed up necks. Any weight gain regime must make you look well built and athletic; the body should appear well sculpted. Some exercises that could be practiced are squats, lifts, bench press, crunches etc. Though the exercises are not different for men and women except for the schedule of repetitions, Men have more power with lesser repetitions and for women its vice-versa.
In diet skinny people, should include carbohydrates where lot of movement is involved. For large cardio activity, one should consume proteins instead. Among the vegetarians, the balance of required nutrients becomes a bit tricky. It’s is recommended that any fitness regime should be started under the able guidance of trainer, who is thorough in his/her profession. Patientence and perseverance, are the other two factors that must be maintained to achieve the desired result.
