How Eating Fiber Makes You Thin

Fiber is the part of plant based foods that our bodies can’t digest. It does not provide us any nutrition; still it is good for our health, especially for people who are trying to loose weight. Fiber helps in loosing weight as it passes through our system taking some of our undigested fat with it. It also helps in reducing the craving for sugar, which makes us eat less.

What is fiber?: There are two kinds of fiber, soluble and insoluble. The inner part of the food which is soft and gives a mushy quality when cooked is soluble fiber, whereas insoluble fiber is the outer part and the skin of the food.

Soluble fiber slows the digestion and helps the body to absorb the nutrients from the food. Unsolvable fiber pushes waste down and out of our system. Fiber not only helps us in loosing weight it also helps in lowering type 2 diabetes and also wards off colon cancer.

Sources of fiber: Fiber is in fruits veggies, whole grains, nuts legumes, beans. Now a day’s it is even added to yogurt, Soya milk and more. You should eat at least 30 grams of fiber everyday. Meat and dairy products have no fiber. Eat more whole and natural foods and fewer processed foods.

How to add fiber:
1)
Eat whole grain bread and brown rice instead of white.

2) Eat salad. There is no need to eat only salad. Just add a small portion with your regular meal .here I would like to add that eating too much of fiber causes bloating and gas. Too much of fiber can also hamper in the absorption of nutrients.

3) Add some beans in your soup. Even a canned soup with some fresh veggies or some black beans can be made healthy.

4) Try eating fruits instead of juices.

Adding fiber can improve your health, but add lots of fluids also in your diet because lack of it can cause constipation.
