How smoking enhances the chances of untimely death?
Though most of the smokers can give excuses on their approach to smoking. But their arguments cannot prevent and save them from the much discussed ill effects of smoking. Even the latest findings and experts opine that, even alteration in lifestyle with balanced diet and regular exercising regime cannot guarantee a sound health, if one continues with his /her smoking habit.
On the contrary the critics who talk against puffing say that, he or she who does not love his/her life will only continue to puff till death.
Risks of smoking:-
Health agencies, NGO have been working hard to thwart the early death due to smoking. Sustained efforts have been done to raise the awareness levels among the public. Statistics say that, smoking kills around 11, 14,000 people in USA and Europe every year. Out of these the deaths 42,800 deaths occur due to smoking related cancer deaths. Out of these 30,600 cases are in consequences of cardiovascular disease that develops due to smoking while on the other hand almost 29,100 people die gradually from emphysema and other lung ailments. Thus severe health risks occur.
Apart from these, other ailments like swelling in gums, bad breadth, problems related with infertility and impotence also happen. Abstinence and physical dysfunctioning also may occur.
How it leads to untimely death?
Cigarettes constitutes of chemical compound that has almost 400 toxic substances. When smokers breathe in this, the cigarette temperature at the tip is at 700 degree centigrade, and 60 degrees at the core. This temperature is good enough to break the tobacco, releasing up the toxins. The residues of cigarette burns are nothing but, butt and tar.
Carcinogen and nicotine are realsed; they cause cancer and increase cholesterol levels resp. in the body. CO realsed reduces oxygen in the body and other particles cause Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disorder (COPD). Regular smoking may take away 8-10 yrs from any body’s life.
The total number of deaths that happens due to smoking exceeds the total death caused by AIDS, breast cancer, accidents etc. excessive smoking can cause clots in the brain and heart, leading to sudden death. Coronary thrombosis causes blood clots in arteries and cerebral thrombosis can block the blood vessels to the brain.
