Exercise and workouts are very important for losing weight. But it is more important how and when you exercise. The same exercise can give you double benefit if you do it properly. For example, if you eat a low carbohydrate protein bar one and half hour before exercising or going for workout, you will be able to exercise for a long time and without getting too tired. This will burn more calories whereas if you eat anything just before your workout you will get tired soon and muscles may feel weak because your blood rushes to your stomach for the digestion of the food you had eaten just before exercise.
How you breathe during your workout is very important. Some people have the habit of breathing from mouth which is wrong. You should always inhale and exhale through your nose. When you breathe through your nose, your heart rate stabilizes, which eventually allows you to exercise longer without getting exhausted soon.
You should divide your cardio exercises into two sessions instead of doing it for long time in one session. If you do cardio exercise for 30 minutes in one session and for 30 minutes in another session, you are likely to burn additional fats rather than exercising in one session for 60 minutes. Some cardio exercise which can give you maximum results are bike riding, walking on treadmill, running in sports ground or park, swimming etc.
Before you start any vigorous exercise, you should warm up your body, at least for 10 to 15 minutes. Thereafter, you can increase your speed. When you gain the speed which is more than 90% of your heart rate you should continue that speed for 30 seconds. Thereafter, slow down till your heart beat drops and is 120 beats per minute. After staying in that position speed up again and remain in that position for 20 to 30 seconds. Then again slow down gradually. If you repeat it 5-6 times you are likely to burn fat fast. After doing vigorous exercise, do not stop suddenly. Allow yourself to cool down gradually for 5 to 10 minutes.
