How To Choose The Perfect Wedding Dress
Most of us dream of walking down the isle before we even know the real meaning of marriage. We dream of that perfect wedding with our Mister Perfect who will sweep us off our feet, like Cinderella’s prince charming did. We grow up believing in our dream and when finally the moment arrives, we want it to be as perfect as we fantasized. And why not, this day comes but once in a life time! The perfect wedding consists of a lot of elements and one of them is the wedding dress. Here are a few tips to choose the seamless wedding ensemble for you:
Looking for a dress:
Start looking for the perfect dress as soon as you are engaged. Finding the right dress takes a lot of time and investigation. Make sure, you go through several bridal magazines and cut pictures of the gowns you like. Go to many wedding stores and narrow them down according to your liking of the gowns there.
Decide the dress according to the ceremony time:
Decide the wedding dress according to the time of your wedding ceremony. If your wedding is in the night time make sure you wear dressy gowns which can be sleek and backless or off shoulders which give a princess look. Chiffon sleeves look amazingly feminine on wedding gowns especially in the day time. Make sure you keep it simple but elegant for the day.
Color of the dress:
If you are not one of those conventional brides and want to add a different touch to your dress you can wear colors like pink, lilac or baby blue. They look equally elegant and beautiful. You can also go for a soft gold wedding gown, it will look stunning. For a very traditional bride, choosing a gown in a color besides white or ivory may feel too risky, but there are other ways to get a little burst of color into your wedding ensemble, if you want, for instance you can add a colorful sash around the waist, flowing down into the tails in the back.
The latest trend is to add embroidery and beading to your gown. This little detail looks absolutely beautiful when done all over the dress. Magnificent hand embroidery around the necklines of simple gown can add a lot of elegance and sophistication to the gown.
Wedding dress train:
The wedding dress train is of three kinds. The cathedral, the chapel and the sweep. Choosing from any of the three depends upon the style and length you want. If you want a train that’s really long, go for the cathedral. This is the traditional train used by the royalty. The chapel, is a smaller train, around four feet and the shortest is the sweep, which does not touch the floor at all.
Remember; don’t choose a dress that does not click for you when you try it on the very first time. Keep hunting and wait for the perfect one! Good Luck!
