Dry air can also irritate your sinuses; hence try to keep your nasal passages moist. To keep the air moist in your home you can use a humidifier. It will help you in breathing properly, especially at night. When you will breathe easily it will help you to open up your nasal passageways and get rid of your sinus headache.
A hot shower can also give you relief from sinus headaches. When you take a hot shower the mucus in your head is broken down due to which your head will seem less stuffy; thus your headache may disappear. Headaches can also be caused due to dehydration; hence you should increase the consumption of water and other fluids such as warm herbal tea and coffee. Ginger has anti-inflammatory property due to which it relieves pain and avoids headaches.
To get rid of sinus headaches you can apply a hot wet compress on your face. It will reduce your headache by shrinking the membranes. You can also use OTC medications and nasal sprays to get rid of sinus headache but you should consult a doctor before their use.
