Bring Your Life Under Control

Being emotionally disorganized can make you forget things like keys, names, why you came to the room etc. It can even give you head aches, constant fatigues, spondylitis, high blood pressure, the list is endless. You listen but do not register. You don’t feel in control. The reason is you are wearing far too many hats, in other words you are multi tasking. Here are some tips to get your life under control:

“ME” time:
Take some time out for you to relax. Go for a walk, read a book or do nothing and just sit and have a nice cup of coffee. It will relax your mind and let your conscience be free.

Don’t be a perfectionist:
Try to over look a few wrinkles. Being a perfectionist makes you feel nothing is right and brings a lot of negativity. You try to do everything yourself which again drains you physically as well as emotionally.

Don’t let people bully you or be rude with you:
No body has the right to make you feel low. Accept people as they are and make them accept you as you are. Constant criticism is not good for your emotional well being. Simplify your life.

There is no need to be as super woman:
Make all the family members to pitch in. You are not solely responsible for all house hold duties. If others are not ready to contribute then just leave those tasks undone, don’t over do. It will only affect your health and also bring bitterness in relationships. Don’t take on more than you can manage.

There is no need for you to answer every call:
Use your answering machine. Phone calls at odd hours can make you loose a lot of precious time. Call back at your convenience and secondly, you don’t have to be everybody’s message taker or your husband’s secretary.

De-clutter your mind from thoughts that are of no use, especially negative thoughts and avoid negative people. Inhale and exhale for few minutes everyday. This will calm you down and make you more focused. Everything will seem to be more under control!
