How To Live Your Life To Its Fullest?
If you feel stressed out all the time due to your personal and professional commitments or if you are unhappy, sad or maybe just numb to things around you, then you need to think seriously and make some changes.
Most important is—you need to enjoy what you do. If you are not happy with your work then it is going to effect other aspects of your life. Find a job that interests you. Every person is cut for a particular job. Try to explore yourself more.
Choose a job which has flexible hours or work from home. This can help you fulfill your other commitments besides work and you can work at your own pace. But you need to set a limit for yourself because either you start doing too much or you start neglecting your job. You need to organize your time better.
Learn to say ‘no’. Sometimes due to fear of rejection or confrontation we avoid saying ‘no’. Don’t be a people pleaser. Say ‘no’ if you cannot do it. Accept the fact that you are not a super human- being. It is better to complete less work to a better standard than doing the job with low quality or not finishing it at all. It will not only irritate you but lower your self esteem also. People may feel bad at that moment but in the long run they will appreciate your honesty.
I am not saying that you should not help anyone or that you should not be there for your loved ones when in need but it is better if they can trust you and feel happy with you. The more you can achieve this, the less pressure you can put yourself under to keep everyone happy.
Another thing I would like to add is—Make a list of things to be done or targets to be achieved and avoid wasting your time on activities which don’t help you achieve your goals.
