Recipes To Make Body Butter For Dry Skin
You will need shea butter 8oz, half a cup of olive oil, cornstarch and an essential oil of your choice. First step is the melting of shea butter in a double boiler over water till all the butter gets melted. In a bowl initially mix the melted butter with olive oil to gain a thinner consistency. Top it up with cornstarch and the essential oil of your choice and mix well.
To get a better consistency use an egg beater.Instead of olive oil you may also use almond or coconut or even mix the various types of oils to get the necessary result. Add the contents of a vitamin E capsule in the mixture for added effect.
Whatever you do make sure to use the butter initially on a small patch on the skin surface to ensure that you are not allergic to any of the ingredients. Keep the prepared butter in an air-tight container and keep in a fridge to allow it to set overnight. Apply every day twice, ideally after shower and before going to bed and say goodbye to dry and rough skin forever.
For this recipe equal amounts of shea and coconut butter with half the amount of beeswax are needed along with one tablespoon each of olive, jojoba, coconut oil, and another essential oil which you choose.Mix all these ingredients together in a bowl and put the bowl on a heat source for melting. You can use a double boiler or a microwave oven and even a boiling water pot to melt the mixture. Once the ingredients are all melted thoroughly, remove the concoction from the heat source.
While the mixture is cooling gradually, put it in a blender and blend till a peak is visible. Once that is formed you will know that your body butter is ready. Transfer the contents of the blender in an air tight container, pour it gradually for preventing any damage to the container and allow it to cool to room temperature. Tighten the lid and refrigerate for a complete setting overnight. Now your miracle butter is ready for use. With the regular application of these homemade creams you will get a well moisturized, youthful, glowing skin at half the price.
