How To Make The Workout Interesting With Props?

Since a long time only steppers were used in aerobics. Now, there are different kids of props that help one in reaching their fitness goals. The instructors have to keep their classes motivated and going. Previously smaller weights were used as props in aerobics apart from the regular weight training sessions. The props that are used now days are varied. Some of them even have incorporated their workout using a dandiya sticks and a dupatta.

It’s mainly because people want to change their workout routine. They want element of fun too. Thus the usage of props adds interest and makes the workout even more motivating. All these exercises offer a wholesome workout as one has to stretch and make use of all the muscles. The rhythm pattern here is also greater and there are better chances of cardio workout. The best thing is one gets to learn dance steps to along with the process. One can make use of dumbbells, pompoms, scarf in their workouts too.

By this they get to shed the extra pounds that they want to and the best thing is that it breaks the monotony from the regular kind of workout. They do not even stress the body but in fact strengthen it by toning it. Another popular kind of props workout is by using dupatta’s, they are known as “veil aerobics”.

Girls love it the most, as it consists of full body workout. Swaying hips, undulating torso is accompanied by the graceful sway of arms and shoulders. It is comprehensive, fun and feminine. It tightens and tones the entire body.  It is a low impact kind of workout hence it is suitable for all age groups and goes well with all the ability levels.

One hour of veil dancing can burn 250-300 calories. It is both cardiovascular and weight bearing too. It is good for women as it helps in prevention of osteoporosis as it strengthens the bones too. The posture gets also improved.  The cloths have to be comfortable and snug. Next time you are working with your instructor with a prop go with the flow and try to learn something new. The props allow complementing the body in soft and graceful manner.
