How to Prevent Hair Loss
Number of reasons can lead to hair loss, like hormonal imbalance, major surgery, regular use of some medicines, fungal infections etc. Wrong functioning of any system of our body can lead to hair loss. It may not be related directly but hair are first to be effected by any health problem.
Although you need to rule out any medical condition but there are certain foods which can help you in retaining and reversing the process of hair loss.
Almonds are high in mono saturated fats. These fats are good for healthy hair. They are an excellent source of vitamin E, protein, fiber, and magnesium. Taking a hand full of nuts as a snack can provide you with a lot of nutrients for hair growth. Regular massage of the scalp with almond oil can also help in preventing hair loss.
Coconut has all the nutrients to nourish the hair. According to ayurveda graying of hair and falling hair is due to the imbalance of Pit dosha. Coconut has the ability to balance it. Add fresh grated coconut in your recopies. You should also drink coconut water everyday. Massaging your scalp with coconut oil makes it free from dandruff which is one major reason for hair fall.
Green leafy veggies are rich in silica, iron and calcium nutrients that prevent hair loss. Guava is a very good source of vitamin C, which helps in making collagen a protein required for good hair growth and texture. Lack of this protein, especially as we age causes hair loss. You can also add broccoli and citrus fruits as they are full of vitamin C.
Nobody is pleased with hair loss, especially when it is not out of choice. Avoid too much of salt, fat and animal protein diet like- fish, milk products etc as it damages your kidney causing acidic blood. Too much of acid in blood leads to hair loss. Add foods that reduce your testosterone. Low testosterone helps hair growth.
