How to take care of your eyes?
It is said that the eyes are the windows of our soul. Beautiful and sparkling eyes not only indicate a good health but also make you look very attractive.However, to have healthy eyes you have to look after them properly. Your eyes need everyday attention.
Here are some guidelines to help you in taking care of your eyes. Primarily,eat food that is good for your eyes. To bring luster to your eyes you need to have healthy food. For that matter, add lots of fresh fruits and vegetables such as fish, eggs, cheese and milk. Spinach is also very good for eyes.
Moreover, a regular doze of vitamin A and B2 should also be taken.
Secondly, a regular and sound sleep is a must. It relaxes the eye muscles and gives them the rest required.
Sleep not only helps eyes but also helps the body to repair its worn out tissues. Normally, you must sleep for atleast seven to eight hours everyday. Lack of sleep can give you dark circles under the eye.
The Immediate area below the eye is very delicate therefore; never pull or stretch it. Even when you massage, use a tapping movement. Work the eye area with some nourishing cream. It improves the blood circulation and makes the skin look smoother. It also helps in eliminating the wrinkles.
We all know,to retain the muscles of any part of our body we have to exercise them otherwise they start degenerating. Same is with the eyes. You must exercise your eyes everyday.Moreover, blink them at regular intervals as blinking distribute the fluids over the eyeballs and wash them.
We tend to forget the fact that our eye sight is the reason why we are able to do our work so efficiently.
This is our most valuable asset but also the most neglected. We abuse our eyes in so many unnoticeable ways. For instance, if a small particle goes into our eye we start rubbing it,which is wrong. Rubbing can cause a scratch leading to inflammation of the cornea.
Don’t read or write in poor or bright sunlight. It can cause dazzle and glare. Always use sunglasses as sunlight can cause eye stress. The strong ultraviolet rays can even burn the cornea. Remember, Light should not shine directly in your eyes.
Moreover, too much of reading, writing, watching television or working on the computer can cause eye stress. This is because; our eye muscles contract and relax for one lack times in a day, tiring the eyes. It clears up after a good sleep.
A regular eye checkup is a must. Don’t wait till your vision is blurred. Eyes can get red due to cold or inflammation. Use an eyebath to soothe the condition. Avoid sharing towels with others, never rub your eyes with dirty fingers and Start your day with a glass of water. It helps kidneys to flush out excess fluid. You can also relax your eyes by using ice cold pads soaked in eye lotion.
Remember to always take care of God’s most beautiful gift to you. Your life will be very colorless without your eyes. Understand there worth.
