How To Wake Up Refreshed

Majority of people when they get up are not very fresh and happy. Sleep makes us a bit down. If you are one of such people, try these small changes and see the difference. Put some interesting notes which you can see the first thing in the morning when you wake up.

It will give you quick lift. By switching our mind from bad thoughts to good, we can feel more energetic. You can even keep a bunch of your favorite flowers but see to it that they are fresh and not wilted. The temperature of your bed room should nether be neither too hot nor too chilly. Both extremes can make you tired and exhausted.

The colors you choose for your bedroom make a difference on your mood. Waking up to vibrant colors gives you an adrenaline rush. Bright colored cushion or a peace of colored art will do the trick. Going over board with color is also not a good idea. Too much of stimulation will not let you have a good night sleep. The interior of the room should be calming but cheerful.

Always set your alarm when you really need to get up and get up immediately when it goes off. Taking interrupted sleep will get you more tired. Best would be if you depend on your internal clock to wakeup.

Once you are awake, spend few minutes to reclaim yourself before you get busy with your daily chores. Just lye with your eyes shut and visualize your day with positive things happening to you. Giving a face massage with light strokes will boost the blood circulation; it will not only give a healthy glow but also give you the alertness required.

If you have the time then just sit for few minutes by the sunny window with a cup of tea/coffee. Sunlight signals the body to stop the secretion of melatonin a hormone that makes you sleepy, making you more wakeful. It also boosts the level of another chemical called serotonin which helps in making you happy.
