Making Wedding Arrangements
Weddings can be very tricky. No matter how hard you try, there is always something that goes wrong; this is especially the case if you haven’t prepared for it beforehand. Hence, if you want a flawless wedding, make sure you start working on it a year in advance:
One Year before the wedding:
The brides and the groom’s family should sit down and discuss the wedding budget, arrangements and style. They should also make a list of guests, since they will have to be sent invitation cards. Moreover, make sure you have a proper list of people you want to invite to the various different ceremonies. People you want to invite to the ceremony, ceremony and reception and people you just want to send the announcement, should be categorized properly.
Another thing which should be done early is the hall booking for the wedding and reception. Moreover, if the reception has to be catered then make sure you book a caterer before hand.
A bridal dress should be on your priority list as well. In fact, look for it and buy it at least six months before the wedding so that you do not face fitting problems at the last minute.
Four months before the wedding:
This is the point when you should order the invitation cards. Order engraved cards unless you have planned a small wedding. Make sure, you refer to the book of etiquette for the exact words of the invitation. This is also a good time to book a photographer and plan the music you want in the wedding.
Three months before the wedding:
This is the point when you send out the wedding invitations.
A month before the wedding:
A month before the wedding calls for the selection of the rings, finalizing bride’s mates, attendants and bridal gown. It is also when you plan the rehearsal dinner.
During the last month, make sure you obtain the marriage license and arrange for the brides transportation.
Finally, check all the details once again and enjoy the wedding!
