Women who have menstrual periods suffer from menstrual pain and cramps at one or the other point in their life. For some women the period comes and goes very normally but for some women it becomes a very bad experience which they go on facing from month to month till many years.

It is advisable to make a complete no-no for tea and coffee during your periods and a week before the periods as caffeine accelerates the pains and cramps. So, try and include fresh fruits, vegetables and juices in your diet to fight against the pain. Also, avoid alcohol and smoking as far as possible as they can worsen the situation more.

While in periods you can go for aromatherapy and massages. They help you to relax which enhances blood circulation and which keeps you tension and stress free. Take as much rest as you can during the menstrual cycle and avoid lifting heavy things or doing work which stresses you more. Exercise is the best way to get relief from pains.

So, exercise regularly even in those days of your periods. Any kind of physical activity helps in balancing the hormones thus reducing the pain and increasing the energy level. Moreover, over-the-counter pills like Ibuprofen etc. are meant to be the best pain killers. So, you can take these medications while suffering from a lot of pain and do not have time to rest.
