Permanent skin makeup: What are the advantages?
Living with your own skin and looks is no longer a necessity. if you don’t like something you see on yourself, then you can use make up to change it. And you can also change it permanently if you have the cash and guts to get it done. One of the best methods to look pretty forever; without reapplication of cosmetics is permanent skin makeup!
What are permanent cosmetics?
Essentially permanent cosmetics are cosmetic tattoos that deposits colored pigment into the upper layer of the skin. A person can choose from a wide variety of processes such as eyeliner and eyelash enhancement (creating a fine, natural=looking line to add depth and definition and to make lashes appear thicker), eyebrow jobs (coloring/tattooing), lip colour and lip liner (to enhance lips and make them appear darker/lighter and fuller), camouflaging of scars and vitiligo (matching color to the skin tone to make it appear even), areola and nipple restoration, cleft lip, and treatment of alopecia. Permanent make-up is among the most popular of procedures for permanent skin cosmetics.
Why do you need them?
To tell the truth, having a slight amount of makeup on your skin all the time whether it rains or if its sunny, does sound really attractive to every woman. This no need for reapplication of makeup and no waste. Other people who do this procedure are those who have make-up allergies, who want to save time, have extremely sensitive skin, which are vision-impaired and have motor-functioning disorders, those with arthritis, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, partial paralysis, stroke victims etc.
Can I change it once its done?
The effects of permanent skin cosmetics are as its name suggests – permanent. This is also a great way to save costs as it’s generally done at one time, and perhaps a couple more times for the reasons of a touch-up as the colors may fade and need color enhancement or refreshing. The procedure for getting permanent cosmetics involves getting a local anesthesia, and then the pigment is applied just as you would tattoo the skin.
Post the procedure, a little swelling is experienced (especially around the eye and lip area) which can last up to a few days and the colors look unusually vibrant. The colors fade with time though and start to appear natural. Antibiotics are prescribed as a cautionary measure, with strict instructions that include staying out of harsh sunlight, placing ice-packs on the area, and applying the prescribed ointment.
