Is hair cut necessary before a perm?
Yes, one can get a hair cut or regular trim done before a perming session. However after the perm it is not possible.
Does naturally curled hair need perms?
People with natural curls also can get perms. It is done to re-direct the hair in a more manageable pattern or to achieve the desired look. People who want to get a less perm and smoother look can use large rods to achieve this.
It is better to tell your stylist if you have irritation or abrasiveness in skin.
