Planning on bleaching your teeth?

Bleaching teeth is a popular option for movie stars and models who want to have a brighter and prettier smile. But how do you actually go about the process? Can an average person like you and me do the process too? Are there advantages to bleaching your teeth and how white can you actually make them? Let’s find out!

Bleaching or whitening of teeth is a process that is done in house at the dental clinic or at home to turn teeth whiter. The process is very simple but has to be carried out to the tee to prevent your teeth from getting damaged due to the strong bleaching agents. Dentists offer several methods by which you can bleach your teeth like home custom made bleaching kits, bleaching strips, toothpastes, gels and so on an so forth. There are a huge range of over the counter medications too that also work on the same principle that you can use without the prescription of a dentist. Its always best to use the guidance of a dentist but here are a few tips that you should follow  no matter what type of dental bleaching kit you are using

Make sure that you read the instructions on the kit properly. If you have been told to use the kit for twelve hours or overnight then do so. Do not increase or decrease the time indicated on the kit to get better results.

Stick to a natural white look as most bleaches will remove old stains and dark colored teeth to make them look more natural. Do not try to get them CHICKLET white in color. That does not work and it will damage your teeth completely. Get in touch with a dentist to find out exactly what will the end result of the bleaching kit. They usually have a color guide that will give you an idea of the final result.

Do not repeat the process unnecessarily. An ordinary bleaching process will last for a year and you do not need touchups in the same year. Make sure that you bleach first and then apply crowns or bridges on your teeth to make sure that the final color of all your teeth match.
