Risk Factors Associated with Lung Cancer

The younger adults are not affected by this kind of cancer. People with age group 50+ are more likely to develop cancer of this kind. One can classify the lung cancer with the kind of cancer cell present in side the tumor. The most common kind is the non-small carcinomas. Under this squamous cell also known as the epidermoid carcinomas, the large cell carcinoma or the Aden carcinomas can be contained in it.

It has been found that the small cell carcinoma consists of 20-25% of cancers of the lungs. Such cancers usually get metastases by the time it is detected. Such cancer gets usually spread to the bone, kidney, liver, brain, breast, thyroid gland, colon, cervix, prostrate gland, rectum, skin, and testis or even to the bone marrow. The cancer that gets triggered due to cell originating from the lungs is called as primary lung cancer.
