Rules For Safe And Effective Exercise

Exercise is definitely a great way to keep yourself healthy, but if done improperly it could lead to injuries and some life-long consequences. Here are the rules you should follow to ensure a safe and effective workout-

Warm up:
Before beginning your workout make sure you warm up well. Warming up prepares your body for physical activity. It boosts up your heart rate and blood flow and loosens up your muscles and joints. Warming up considerably reduces the risk of stretching-related injury.

Don’t over do your exercising:
Too much of exercise can make you sick. If you workout too much every day, it could lead to a drop in your performance, longer recovery time, sore muscles, loss of appetite, headaches and trouble sleeping. Continuing to overdo it can lead to joint pain, injuries to the ligaments and anemia. Women can suffer even more serious problems such as hormonal imbalances, which can shut down the menstrual cycle and weaken bones.

Drink a lot of water:
Exercise drains a lot of water from your body. That’s why it’s very important to drink even more water while exercising. Keep in mind, that drinking water before and after exercise is very important. Without this extra water, your muscles will become dehydrated and they will not work as well. The more you drink before, during, and after exercise, the more productive your workout will be.

Wear proper workout clothes:
Choosing the right fitness clothing and equipment is important for your exercise pleasure. Wear whatever feels good to you. There’s no right and wrong when it comes to exercise clothes. It’s whatever makes you feel good and keeps you cool and comfortable. But bare one thing in mind, do not by any circumstance wear clothes that are very tight for you. It is not a good practice.
