Pain killers are medications which help us get rid of any kind of pain in the body. Be that muscle pain, head ache or any other kinds. Painkillers certainly reduce the effect of the pain on the body but also have certain harmful side effects on the body. If not prescribed by the doctor, taking painkillers can be very unsafe. Improper digestion: This is a commonly noticed side effect of painkillers. Proper digestion can be hindered due to the adverse effect of painkillers causing constipation, excessive vomiting, intense stomach ache, gastric ulcers, nausea and other digestive disorders.
Visionary problems: Sometimes blurred vision, uneven line formations are experienced as a result of side effects of painkillers.
Skin issues: Patchy, dry and itchy skin can result as a side effect of painkillers. The skin eventually becomes rough and scaly and in extreme cases, formation of hives also takes place.
Respiratory and heart problems: Sometimes extreme respiratory problems are also caused as a harmful effect of painkillers. Heart rate is also adversely affected by this. The heart beat sometimes go slow and sometimes go faster. Moreover, other heart problems like heart attack, cholesterol can also inflict the body.
Psychological effects: Sometimes painkillers have adverse effects on the brain. The person hallucinates (a condition in which one sees absurd and unreal things around) and the memory decreases.
Body ache and weaknesses: These are the most common effects of painkillers. Painkillers often weaken the body and affect the total functionality of the body. Body aches, joint pains and severe throbbing headache are also some commonly noticed symptoms. These are also characterized by dizziness, nausea, fever and loss of appetite.
Remember these side effects; next time you resort in a painkiller. Having it once in a while is not harmful. But however, having these in plenty will cause the body much of damage and harm. Do not pop in a painkiller without having the doctor prescribed one. Keep away from them unless indispensable.
